Who we are

Pocket Saucers is developed and operated by Ken Laws, an individual developer. The app is published in Apple's App Store. For any privacy-related question, write to pocketsaucers@kenlaws.com.

What information we collect, and where it lives

On your device only (never sent to us)

• Your in-game settings: the chosen variant (3 / 6 / 9 Saucers), AI difficulty, sound on/off, and the optional house-rule toggles. Stored in iOS's standard UserDefaults storage, in a per-app App Group container.
• Your in-app purchase history, if any. This is managed by Apple's StoreKit; the app sees only which products you've purchased, not your payment details or any other information about you. See "About in-app purchases" below.
• Nothing else. The current match state is held in memory while you play and is not persisted between launches in v1.0.

Pocket Saucers does not have user accounts, does not have a "share" feature, and does not have any feature that contacts a server we operate. There is no server we operate.

About in-app purchases

Pocket Saucers offers optional in-app purchases through Apple's StoreKit. Apple handles the entire payment flow. We never see your credit-card number, billing address, Apple ID, or any other payment-related information. The app only learns which specific products you have purchased (so it can unlock the corresponding content), and that information is stored locally on your device by StoreKit. Apple's privacy practices for App Store and StoreKit transactions are described at apple.com/legal/privacy.

Crash and diagnostic information

If you have iOS's "Share with App Developers" setting enabled (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share with App Developers), Apple may send us anonymized crash reports. These contain technical information about what the app was doing when it crashed; they do not contain anything personally identifiable. You can disable this at any time in iOS Settings.

What we don't do

• We do not track you across apps or websites. The app does not use Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) and does not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt because there is nothing to ask.
• We do not use third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Firebase, no Amplitude, none of it).
• We do not show advertising.
• We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your data to anyone, ever, for any purpose.
• We do not have user accounts, sign-in, or any feature that links you to other users of the app.
• We do not use any third-party AI or cloud services. All game logic runs on your device.
• We do not receive payment information from in-app purchases. Apple's StoreKit handles all of that.

Future features

We may eventually add online turn-based multiplayer via Apple's Game Center (GameKit). If we do, Game Center is operated by Apple and uses Apple's privacy practices, not ours; your matches would be brokered by Apple's servers without us seeing the data. We'll update this policy if and when that ships, and the "Last updated" date above will change.

Your rights, and how to exercise them

Everyone

Because Pocket Saucers does not send any of your data to a server we operate, we have nothing to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. The data is on your device, controlled by you, and removed when you delete the app.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act to request access to, deletion of, and correction of their personal information. We do not collect personal information through Pocket Saucers, so there is nothing for us to provide on request. We do not sell or share personal information; there is no "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" link on this site because there is no sale of personal information to opt out of.

Quebec residents (Law 25)

Under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25), Quebec residents have the right to access, correct, withdraw consent for, and delete their personal information. As above, Pocket Saucers does not collect personal information. The person responsible for the protection of personal information at Pocket Saucers is Ken Laws, reachable at pocketsaucers@kenlaws.com.

European Union and EEA residents (GDPR)

If you're in the EU or EEA, the lawful bases on which any limited data is processed are:

• Performance of a contract: processing your in-app purchases via Apple's StoreKit. (Apple is the merchant of record; we receive no personal data through this channel beyond which products you bought.)

Beyond StoreKit, Pocket Saucers does not process personal data within the meaning of the GDPR, because we don't receive any data from you. You retain the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing.

Per the EU's Digital Services Act, the trader contact information for Pocket Saucers is published on our App Store product page and corresponds to Ken Laws as the individual trader.

Children's privacy

Pocket Saucers is suitable for all ages and contains no objectionable content. It does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Security

Pocket Saucers v1.0 does not communicate with any server we operate, so there are no network security questions specific to us. The app uses standard iOS sandboxing for its local data storage.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in any material way (most likely if we add Game Center support, or a future feature that contacts a server), we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. We don't currently maintain a separate changelog; the policy is short enough to re-read.
